Everything you need to know to get started with Ditred, from installation to executing your first transaction.
1. Setup & Installation
Install the Binary
Ditred is a standalone binary. Install it using the command for your operating system.
2. Navigating the Interface
Start the interface by running ditred. If this is your first time, it will automatically initialize your encrypted vault and config. Ditred operates entirely via keyboard shortcuts for maximum efficiency.
w The Dashboard
Your home screen. View your total balance across all supported chains, recent market data, and portfolio distribution.
s Sending Funds
Open the send dialogue. You'll be prompted for a destination address and amount. Use u to toggle between crypto and fiat units.
r Receiving Funds
View your public addresses and generated QR codes. Press c to copy the address to your clipboard, or s to save the QR code as an image.
h Transaction History
View a paginated list of your recent transactions. Use r to force a manual refresh of the chain data.
3. Security & Vault
Ditred never stores your password in memory longer than necessary. When you initiate a transaction (sending funds), you will be prompted to enter your master password to temporarily decrypt the vault and sign the transaction locally.
No private keys are ever transmitted over the network.
